ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR

One of the most important staples in your pantry is all- purpose flour. Our all-purpose flour is the workhorse of the kitchen, whether you use it to thicken a gravy, for scones, cakes, artisan breads or noodles, this flour does it all! There is one ingredient in this package: wheat, from Small’s Family Farm, which has been grown and milled to satisfy the highest standards.

BREAD FLOUR

Grain is to bread what grapes are to wine. Just as the finest wines start with the best fruit, the best bread can only start with the best wheat. This hard red spring wheat flour comes from a single wheat variety specifically chosen for it’s milling and baking qualities. Our bread flour rings in at a whopping 15.7% protein! This flour will give you impressive loaf volume and killer crusts. Try it in pizza dough, bagels, or your bread machine.

FAMILY STORY

Our family’s farming and milling heritage goes back as far as we can trace. Seven generations ago George Britton farmed and milled grain in Marion, Virginia. Five generations ago Agnes Britton and her brother moved west in search of new opportunities in farming. She settled in the Walla Walla Valley, married first generation farmer Ray Small Sr. and there began Small’s Family Farm.

We have roots deep in the Walla Walla Valley and a strong commitment to sustainable farming practices that will ensure the future of family farming in our region. This is a family operation. We care for the land in a manner that reflects that the land is a member of the family. The land produces in a manner that reflects the way that we care for it.
